Duke City Consulting, LLC (“DCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit or interact with our websites, including dukecityconsulting.com and cyber.dukecityconsulting.com (collectively, the “Site”), register for a course or event, purchase a product or service, join our mailing list, or otherwise communicate with us.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site and related online services. It does not replace the confidentiality provisions of a separate consulting agreement, nondisclosure agreement, statement of work, or other contract governing a professional engagement.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with DCC.
Information You Provide Directly
We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:
- your name;
- email address;
- mailing or billing address;
- telephone number;
- organization or professional affiliation;
- information submitted through contact or inquiry forms;
- information provided when registering for a course, webinar, event, or other program;
- communications you send to DCC;
- responses to surveys, assessments, or evaluations; and
- information you submit as part of a course, training program, or professional service.
Please do not submit confidential client information, protected health information, trade secrets, or other restricted information through general website forms unless DCC has specifically instructed you to use that method and the transmission is appropriate for the information involved.
Payment Information
DCC does not currently collect or process payment card information directly through the Site.
When payment is required for a product, course, event, or professional service, DCC may use a third-party payment provider, such as Stripe or PayPal, to process the transaction. Payment information provided directly to those services is collected and processed by the applicable payment provider under its own privacy policy and terms.
DCC may receive transaction information from the payment provider, such as your name, email address, billing information, payment status, transaction amount, and transaction identifier. DCC does not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment card number.
Website and Technical Information
When you visit the Site, certain technical information may be collected automatically by DCC or by service providers that help us operate and understand use of our websites.
Both DCC websites use Jetpack. When Jetpack Stats is enabled, Jetpack may process information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, date and time of visits, browser language, and general location information. DCC receives website traffic and usage statistics through Jetpack.
DCC Cyber also uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and usage. Plausible is designed to provide privacy-focused website analytics without using cookies or persistent identifiers to track individual visitors.
We use website analytics to understand overall traffic patterns, determine which content is useful to visitors, and improve our websites. We do not use website analytics to build individual visitor profiles or for targeted advertising.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website operation, security, account or session management, forms, and other functionality.
Jetpack and other WordPress services or plugins may use cookies or similar technologies depending on the features in use.
Plausible Analytics does not use cookies for its standard website analytics.
Third-party services incorporated into the Site may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies.
DCC does not use personal information collected through the Site to sell targeted advertising.
How We Use Personal Information
DCC may use personal information to:
- respond to questions and inquiries;
- provide requested products, courses, training, or services;
- process registrations and purchases;
- communicate about a purchase, course, event, or professional engagement;
- provide course materials, recordings, assessments, or certificates;
- provide customer or technical support;
- maintain records of transactions and program participation;
- improve our websites, products, services, and educational programs;
- understand how visitors use the Site;
- protect the security and integrity of the Site and our systems;
- comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations; and
- send marketing communications when you have requested them or when otherwise permitted by law.
We do not use information submitted through professional consulting engagements to train public artificial intelligence models.
Email and Marketing Communications
DCC uses Kit to manage email subscriptions and send newsletters, educational content, announcements, and other marketing communications.
When you subscribe through a DCC signup form or otherwise request email communications, DCC may collect your email address, name, and any additional information you choose to provide through the signup form. Kit processes and stores this subscriber information on DCC’s behalf.
We may also use tags, segments, or similar information within Kit to manage subscriber preferences and determine which communications are relevant to particular subscribers.
You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in DCC marketing emails.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent DCC from sending transactional or administrative communications related to a purchase, course registration, consulting engagement, or other service you have requested.
DCC does not sell its email subscriber list.
Courses, Webinars, and Online Events
DCC uses Zoom to deliver some live courses, webinars, meetings, and other online programs.
When you register for or participate in a DCC program delivered through Zoom, DCC and Zoom may collect information necessary to administer your participation.
This may include:
- your name and email address;
- registration information;
- attendance information;
- chat messages;
- survey or assessment responses; and
- audio, video, or screen content if you participate in a recorded session.
If a live event will be recorded, DCC will provide notice to participants.
Recordings may be made available to enrolled participants for a specified period. Depending on the participant’s method of participation, a recording may capture a participant’s name, voice, image, chat contribution, or shared screen.
Participants should not disclose confidential client information, identifiable patient information, trade secrets, or other sensitive or restricted information during group programs or recorded sessions.
Course materials may be provided through DCC’s websites or through other services identified at the time of enrollment.
Information Submitted Through Courses or Assessments
Some DCC programs may invite participants to submit assignments, exercises, assessments, documents, or other materials.
DCC will use those materials only as reasonably necessary to provide the program, including instruction, evaluation, feedback, technical support, or administration, unless the participant separately agrees to another use.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to submit any material they provide.
DCC does not claim ownership of a participant’s original work solely because it is submitted in connection with a course.
Professional Services and Confidential Client Information
DCC provides consulting and other professional services that may involve access to confidential, proprietary, scientific, technical, business, or research information.
Information provided in connection with a professional engagement is handled according to the applicable agreement between DCC and the client, including any confidentiality, nondisclosure, security, or data-handling requirements.
Where a separate client agreement conflicts with this general Privacy Policy, the client agreement governs the handling of information within that professional engagement.
DCC does not treat confidential client materials as ordinary website data.
Artificial Intelligence Tools
DCC may use artificial intelligence tools in its internal or professional workflows when appropriate.
DCC does not knowingly submit confidential client information to public or consumer artificial intelligence systems unless such use is authorized and appropriate under the applicable client agreement, professional obligations, and data-handling requirements.
Where AI tools are used in professional work, DCC seeks to select environments and workflows appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved and to maintain human review of AI-assisted output.
Use of artificial intelligence within a specific client engagement may also be addressed in the applicable contract, scope of work, or other client documentation.
How We Share Information
DCC does not sell personal information.
We may disclose personal information to service providers that assist us in operating the Site and delivering products or services. Depending on the service involved, these providers may include companies that provide:
- website hosting and administration;
- website analytics;
- email marketing;
- payment processing;
- videoconferencing and online course delivery;
- cloud storage;
- accounting or business administration; and
- security or technical support.
Current service providers may include Jetpack/Automattic, Plausible Analytics, Kit, Zoom, Stripe, and PayPal, depending on which DCC service or website you use.
These providers receive information as necessary to perform services on DCC’s behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.
We may also disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process;
- protect the rights, property, safety, or security of DCC or others;
- investigate suspected fraud, misuse, or security incidents; or
- enforce applicable agreements or policies.
If DCC is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may link to or integrate services provided by third parties.
DCC does not control the privacy or security practices of third-party websites or services. Your use of those services is subject to the privacy policies and terms of the applicable providers.
We encourage you to review the privacy practices of services you choose to use.
Data Retention
DCC retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate business, contractual, tax, accounting, legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information.
For example, we may retain:
- transaction and accounting records as required for business and tax purposes;
- course participation and assessment records for administrative and certificate-related purposes;
- communications when necessary to maintain business records;
- mailing-list information until you unsubscribe or we otherwise remove it; and
- client information according to the applicable professional agreement and DCC record-retention practices.
When information is no longer reasonably required, DCC may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
Data Security
DCC uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
The safeguards used may vary according to the sensitivity of the information and the systems involved.
However, no website, email system, network, cloud service, or method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. DCC therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
Depending on the information involved and applicable law, you may contact DCC to:
- request information about personal information we maintain about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of certain personal information;
- withdraw from marketing communications; or
- ask questions about how your information is used.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, contractual, accounting, security, or other legitimate business reasons.

Children
The Site and DCC’s commercial courses and services are intended for adults.
DCC does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.
If DCC becomes aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International Visitors
DCC is based in the United States, and information collected through the Site may be processed or stored in the United States or in other locations where DCC’s service providers operate.
If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to a jurisdiction whose data-protection laws differ from those in your country.
International users are responsible for determining whether their use of DCC services is appropriate under laws applicable to them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
DCC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technologies, business practices, or legal obligations.
The current version will be posted on the Site with its effective date.
